About TGPA

The RBVRR Telangana Police Academy trains Police Officers of and above the rank of Sub-Inspectors including Gazetted Officers (DySsP), Forensic Scientists, Addl. /Asst. Public Prosecutors and Officers from other departments i.e., Customs & Excise, Motor Vehicle Inspectors, Forest Range Officers from Telangana State and other States on request. The Academy also conducts In-service training like Mandatory courses, Training of Trainers courses, Orientation courses, Thematic courses, Conversion courses, Computer courses, Outdoor courses (PT, Weapon Training) Ministerial Staff courses and Seminars/Workshops on topical subjects.

Smt. Abhilasha Bisht was recruited to the Indian Police Service in the year 1994. She served as Addl. SP and SP in districts like ANANTAPUR and KADAPA during the year 2000 and 2003. She served in the Peace Keeping Mission UNMIK in KOSOVO as part of the Indian peace keeping contingent. Later she went on deputation to Uttarakhand and worked as DIG L&O and Security. She has also served in UNICEF from 2010 to 2015 in Liberia and Sudan as the Country Security Advisor. A native of Dehradun, Uttarakhand State, Smt. Abhilasha Bisht, an Honours Degree in Political Science from Delhi University, Masters Degree in Political International Studies and MPhil degree in International Politics, Organization and Disarmament Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
